About the projects
Aymanam Grama Panchayat implements beneficiary-oriented projects aimed at the social and economic advancement of eligible beneficiaries from various sections. The main areas in which projects are formulated include housing, agriculture, animal husbandry, women’s empowerment, welfare of persons with disabilities, welfare of backward communities, welfare of senior citizens, and self-employment.
🌾 1. AGRICULTURAL SECTOR
Various schemes are being implemented to increase farmers' income, promote agricultural production, expand cultivation on fallow land, and reduce costs in the agricultural sector.

| Integrated Garden Land Cultivation | A scheme providing a subsidy, in proportion to the area of land, to small and marginal farmers in Aymanam Grama Panchayat who cultivate homestead plots of more than 10 cents, for purchasing fertilizers, lime, etc. (Farmers have to bear 25% of the cost of organic fertilizer and 50% of the cost of chemical fertilizer themselves.) |
| HDPE Grow pots Distribution | HDPE pots are distributed, filled with planting mixture, along with seedlings. Beneficiary share: ₹500/- |
| TUBER KIT DISTRIBUTION | Seedlings of tuber crops are being distributed in kit form to small and marginal farmers in the panchayat to promote the cultivation of tuber crops. |
| Bush Pepper Seedlings distribution | Seedlings of bush pepper are being distributed to small and marginal farmers in the panchayat at a 75% subsidy. The remaining 25% amount must be paid at the institution. |
| Banana cultivation area expansion | Farmers within the Aymanam Panchayat limits who are currently cultivating bananas on at least 10 cents of land are provided with tissue-culture banana seedlings and a subsidy at the rate of ₹30,000 per hectare. |
🐄 2. ANIMAL HUSBANDRY
Various support schemes are being implemented to increase the income of dairy farmers and small-scale livestock keepers and to strengthen the livestock sector.

| cow rearing | Traditionally, dairy farmers who rear cattle, have an annual income below ₹5 lakh, and undertake to rear them for at least 3 years are provided assistance as per the norms, with an estimated cost of ₹60,000 per milch cow and a maximum subsidy of ₹30,000. The beneficiary contribution is ₹30,000. |
| Backyard Poultry Rearing | For farmers in the panchayat with an annual income below ₹5 lakh, a subsidy of ₹600 per unit (5 laying hens) will be provided according to the prescribed criteria. Beneficiary contribution: ₹50. |
| Male Buffalo Rearing | Farmers in the Panchayat with an annual income below ₹5 lakh are provided a subsidy of up to ₹10,000 per unit, against an estimated unit cost of ₹20,000, as per the prescribed criteria. The beneficiary contribution is ₹10,000. |
🐄 3. Dairy development
Various support schemes are being implemented to increase the income of dairy farmers and strengthen the dairy sector.

🏠 4. HOME
Schemes to provide assistance for house construction and house completion to eligible families who are homeless or do not have a safe home of their own.

| HOUSE UPGRADATION GENERAL | A scheme to provide financial assistance of ₹40,000, as per the prescribed criteria, to make habitable the uninhabitable houses that are more than 8 years old and belong to people with an annual income below ₹2 lakh in Aymanam Grama Panchayat. |
👩 4. FISHERIES SECTOR
Various support schemes are being implemented to increase the income of fishermen and strengthen the fisheries sector.

| Fishing boat and net | For registered fishermen who are members of the Kerala Fishermen Welfare Fund Board and whose annual income is below ₹2 lakh in Aymanam Grama Panchayat, a 75% subsidy of the unit cost of ₹60,000 is provided according to the prescribed criteria. The remaining 25% (₹15,000) is the beneficiary’s contribution. |
| Ornamental Seed Production for Women | Aymananam Grama Panchayat provides a 40% subsidy of the unit cost (₹50,000) to those who are interested in fish farming, have an annual income below ₹5 lakh, and own a place with water availability, subject to the prescribed criteria. The remaining 60% is the beneficiary’s contribution. |
♿ 5. SOCIAL WELFARE
Various assistance schemes are being implemented to improve the education, livelihood, self-reliance, and social participation of persons with disabilities, and to improve the healthcare, social security, and quality of life of senior citizens.

| Hearing aids for the Aged | For those above 60 years of age in Aymanam Grama Panchayat whose annual income is below ₹2 lakh |
| Coat for Aged | Aymanam Grama Panchayat is distributing cots, in accordance with the prescribed criteria, to destitute, unsupported, and bedridden persons above 60 years of age. |
💼 6. Self-employment schemes
Projects are being implemented to create sustainable sources of income for unemployed women and eligible families, promote self-employment, and support the establishment of small-scale enterprises.

| SUBSIDY FOR WOMEN GROUP ENTREPRENEURS | Family Self-Help Groups comprising at least 2 unemployed women aged 18 to 59 years are provided a 75% subsidy (maximum ₹3,75,000/-) for starting an employment venture, subject to the prescribed criteria. |
| TWO WHEELER VEHICLE FOR SELF EMPLOYED WOMEN | Subsidies of 50% of the vehicle cost (up to a maximum of ₹50,000) are provided, as per the prescribed criteria, to unemployed Kudumbashree members aged 18 to 59 who are interested in earning a livelihood by traveling on a two-wheeler and selling goods. |
🤝 7. SC/ST PROJECTS
Various schemes are being implemented with the aim of the social and economic advancement of eligible backward sections, including Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

| STUDY ROOM TO SC STUDENTS | Financial assistance of up to Rs. 2 lakh is provided, as per the prescribed criteria, for constructing a study room with a maximum area of 120 sq. ft., attached to an existing house not exceeding 800 sq. ft., to improve the study facilities of Scheduled Caste students. |
| SCHOLARSHIP TO SC STUDENTS | Postgraduate degree, engineering degree, degree, polytechnic, and ITI students belonging to the Scheduled Caste are provided scholarships according to the prescribed criteria. |
| FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR MARRIAGE TO SC WOMEN | Girls belonging to the Scheduled Caste category who apply for marriage financial assistance either 15 days before the marriage or within 180 days after the marriage are provided financial assistance of ₹1,25,000/- subject to the prescribed criteria. |
| FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR INTERCAST MARRIAGE TO SC WOMEN | A financial assistance of ₹75,000 is provided, as per the criteria, to inter-caste married couples applying after one year of marriage, where one of the spouses belongs to the Scheduled Caste category and whose annual income in Aymanam Grama Panchayat is below ₹3 lakh. |
| DISTRIBUTION OF PVC WATER TANK FOR SC | A project to purchase and provide a 500-litre PVC water tank for storing drinking water to Scheduled Caste beneficiaries in Aymanam Grama Panchayat. 25% of the amount must be deposited with the institution. |
| HOUSE UPGRADATION SC | A scheme to provide financial assistance of ₹100,000, in accordance with the prescribed criteria, to make uninhabitable houses that are more than 8 years old habitable again for Scheduled Caste families in Aymanam Grama Panchayat whose annual income is below ₹300,000. |
| TWO WHEELER VEHICLE FOR SELF EMPLOYED WOMEN SC | For unemployed Scheduled Caste women aged 18 to 59 who are interested in earning a livelihood by travelling on a two-wheeler and selling goods, a subsidy of 50% of the vehicle cost (up to a maximum of ₹50,000) is provided, subject to the prescribed criteria. |

| SUBSIDY FOR TRADITIONAL HANDICRAFT- ST | A los artesanos tradicionales pertenecientes a las tribus catalogadas que compran materias primas y se ganan la vida mediante el autoempleo se les concede, conforme a los criterios establecidos, un subsidio del 75 % (hasta un máximo de 90.000/-). |
